A look at some highlights from AmiWest 2022, North America’s premier Amiga-focused show.
Sheltering in Place with the Quirky Egg Minder
With COVID-19 sweeping the nation, there was never a better time to cover a rarely-considered tool for easing shelter at home life: the Quirky + GE Egg Minder, a Wi-Fi-connected egg storage solution.

Matt Mereba discovers Beat the Blerch, a race filled with couches, doughnuts, cake, and winged monsters urging participants not to try hard.
Race filmed on August 3, 2019 in Carnation, WA.
Microsoft the Musical
A group of Microsoft interns decided they wanted to create a musical, and, with the assistance of 150 interns and full-timers, they made it happen in eight weeks. I had a fantastic time working as part of the camera crew with this tremendous group of people.
First Caturday Seattle :: Summer
It's First Caturday, a monthly outing for cats in Seattle's Cal Anderson Park.

It's a beautiful day at Seattle's Pike Place Market, where Mr. Bananaman inexplicably finds himself with a camera crew.
I'm also still dating my checks 2005
I forgot to update the copyright date in the credits for Wake Up, KHS every year, but 2006 was probably the most egregious.
Swing
The end of a five year hiatus, hastily conceived and filmed half an hour before all of us were due at the Denver airport.

K.B. Alantine Summer (2012)

World Cup 2010 Controversy
Eager to cover the controversy from a recent Germany vs. England World Cup game on no budget, Garrett Alarcon takes a few liberties with his reporting. Part of KHS-TV Summer season two (2010).
Homework Hotline
I stopped by WXXI in Rochester, NY to learn more about Homework Hotline, a television program carried by PBS stations across New York State dedicated to helping students with their homework. The segment was intended to air on Wake Up, KHS or KHS-TV Summer, but never did due to scheduling troubles.

KHS-TV ON STRIKE!
In recognition of the ongoing 2006-2007 Writers Guild of America strike, I spearheaded KHS-TV going on a "strike" of its own. To my surprise, the school administration was fully on-board, and even extended homeroom slightly when I couldn't get the show short enough. This is the only morning show I can remember us pre-taping during my time there.
Controversy Around the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish
Kingston High School Television found itself on the front page of the newspaper after translating the Pledge of Allegiance to Spanish in honor of Spanish Heritage Week. Letters to the Editor are included to represent the opposing view, as all against the idea declined to appear on camera.
Secret Message

Man of La Mancha Bonus Promo
I think the kilt's a good look, tbh.
